A role of a judge is simple, make a good judgement. A good judge should also be able to make a decision fairly quickly depending on the situation. <br /><br />We make judgements all the time, i.e what to eat for lunch, what to wear, stop or go at an intersection... We don't spend 6 months waiting at a driving intersection do we? We don't take 1 year to stare at a lunch menu do we?<br /><br />If there is a murder case, you can expect it take a bit longer, but surely, when it comes to trivial prosecutions made by the police, the judge should be able to throw the case out after 5 mins.
